Unsatisfactory Performance

The provisions governing the processes involved in managing unsatisfactory performance are contained in Clause 28.0 of the UNSW (General Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2006 (the Agreement ).

These provisions provide a fair, transparent and efficient process for managing unsatisfactory performance and are based on the principles of natural justice.

The University is committed to supporting supervisors in the effective and efficient management of their staff to foster a positive environment conducive to high levels of productivity and performance.  Line managers are encouraged to consult with the Industrial Relations Advisory Unit  where an instance of unsatisfactory performance arises.
