  • Your Profiles: EEO and DEST Data Collection. This is an online form to be completed via myUNSW.
These forms will be provided to you by either a HR Consultant, your school office or your supervisor. You may have already completed and returned these forms before you started, or you may be due to complete them in a meeting with your HR Consultant or in your school office. The forms are available from Human Resources if you have not yet received them.

Compulsory Training Courses

It is compulsary for all UNSW staff members to complete the following training:

OHS Awareness Training
This course is designed to provide an introduction to the NSW occupational health and safety (OHS) legislation and an overview of OHS systems, policies and procedures at UNSW.

EO Online
It is compulsory for all staff (including casuals & contract staff) to explore & understand equal opportunity issues on campus through the self-paced learning program eOOnline. Equity principles, terminology and application are explained through real life case studies and interactive learning techniques.

All staff are asked to complete Module 1. Managers and Supervisors are asked to complete Modules 1 and 2. Each module will take between 40-55 minutes to complete.

When you reach the end of each module, you'll find a feedback form. Please fill in the form and return it with your comments so that we can include your feedback in our reviews and your participation in our statistics.

Access to the EO Online program is via myUNSW at:  https://my.unsw.edu.au.
Enter your login ID (eg. z1234567), UniPass & click 'login'.
From the myUNSW Home tab on the right-hand-side under Staff Development@UNSW select the link: Equal Opportunity Online Program for Staff.

Collecting Staff ID Card

UNSW issues ID Cards to all Students, Staff and Contractors for the purposes of Identification, Electronic Building Access, Library Borrowing, to name a few of the increasing uses. Take your completed Staff ID Card Order Form (which must be signed by your manager) and proof of identity to FM Assist (located at Level 2 Mathews Building F23) who will issue your Staff ID card.

If you are a staff member at UNSW@ADFA, please refer to the UNSW@ADFA website for information on how to get your Staff ID card.

Collecting Parking Permit or Staff Travel Pass

Parking Permits

The FM Assist has several forms online for you to organise your parking permits. Please ensure you read the Parking Rules prior to parking on campus.  Take your completed form to e-spot who will then issue your parking permit. If you work off campus, please check your local parking rules and regulations.
Visit the website for the forms and parking prices.

Staff Travelpass

UNSW offers Travelpass Tickets to approved staff Annual and Quarterly TravelPasses by salary deduction. TravelPass is a public transport ticket that allows unlimited travel on train, bus and ferry within the specified zone for the valid period. Staff can take advantage of significantly cheaper public transport tickets without the up front cost.

Getting Connected to UNSW IT Systems

The following processes will help you to:

  • Set up your PC access
  • Give you access to Unimail
  • List your required contact details in the UNSW Internal directory and Web directory
  • Arrange your UniPass
  • Set up your voicemail
You will need to complete a Communications Access Form and submit it to the IT Service Desk for processing. You can do this by internal mail, by fax or in person. The majority of new staff members will need to use the OSA 1 form: Online Services Access for New UNSW Staff Members, however a different form may be necessary, for example if you are an AGSM staff member, a Hospital staff member or are not directly employed by UNSW.

Click here For the full list of Communications Access Forms.

UniPass

Unipass is the UNSW Universal Password System, for secure access to the UNSW Online Services, UniMail, University Wide Network and main other services. Without a UniPass you will not be able to access any online services at UNSW.

How to get a UniPass - For UNSW, NIDA & AGSM staff members

How to get a UniPass - For CoFA staff members

How to get a UniPass - For UNSW@ADFA staff members

Visit the IT Services website for further information on Unipass.

Once you have been issued with your computer access and Unipass, you may need to contact IT services (x51333) to arrange your local PC set up. You may find that your local work area uses specific software (for example Lotus Notes for email) which will require installation on your PC.

Setting up your Voicemail Service

A voicemail service is available for staff at Kensington and Randwick campuses.

Click here for a guide to help you do this.
