Other Services

Resume and Interview Preparation
UNSW values their staff and recognises the need for individual to discuss their future career prospects. Various services are detailed below which are available to all UNSW staff to assist with their career development.
 
OSDS offers a variety of courses that can assist staff with preparing a resume and practicing for an interview.
 
These programs are regularly run in half-day format or our 1 hour lunch-time sessions (Learn@Lunch )  and can be brought to groups on campus by request.
 
Alternatively there are other services available to staff if you require confidential career counselling.
 
 
 
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Your Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a professional, confidential counselling service for employees and their immediate family members, paid for by UNSW.  It is free to you and your family. The EAP exists to help with any personal or work-related issues including issues relating to your career choices and direction.

This service is provided by an independent company called Davidson Trahaire. Davidson Trahaire counsellors are all qualified, experienced professionals who have extensive training in counselling and workplace consulting. Your confidentiality will be maintained at all times.

Career Research & Assessment Service (CRAS), School of Psychology
CRAS provides vocational assistance to UNSW students and staff, aiding in career and study choices, career changes, and career planning. The service aims to increase individuals’ self-awareness in relation to career interests, aptitudes, work values and other work-related characteristics as well as to more broadly assist with the career decision-making process.
 
Cost: 3 sessions for $100
