Academic Women in Leadership Program The Academic Women in Leadership Program commenced in 2006 and is endorsed by the Senior Executive Team. The program aims to support academic women in achieving an increased representation in higher level academic appointments and decision making bodies at UNSW. The program also seeks to support:

Program Content The program content addresses the qualities of effective leadership and the challenges of effecting cultural change to create a more diverse and inclusive leadership culture at UNSW. It provides each participant with the opportunity to understand the way in which personal style influences management and leadership. This understanding will maximise effectiveness both personally and professionally and develop confidence in the role. The program focuses on the unique cultural environment of the University. It provides information and discussion about the strategic mission of the University. It offers the opportunity for participants to position themselves more strategically within the university and develop meaningful networks both internally and externally.
