External IT Providers

Pollak Learning Alliance provides learning solutions to corporate, non-commercial and government agencies, and has been doing so for over 20 years.
Their facilitators all have industry experience, and the programs are designed to incorporate real life scenarios. Action plans for all courses encourage participants to set actions and projects that they will undertake in their workplace and implement the knowledge and skills learned during the learning event.
Their learning solutions encompass desktop and technical training, business performance programs, eLearning and blended solutions designed to improve employee performance in the workplace.
 
They can offer:
  • A comprehensive range of public courses in IT training. These include beginners and advanced programs in Microsoft applications, web design etc
  • An extensive catalogue of Business Performance programs that cover topics such as leadership, negotiation, training, change management, teams, time management etc
 
Their public programs are delivered in their training rooms in Sydney, above Wynyard Station. Most programs are 1 or 2 days duration.

UNSW has negotiated a discount of 15% on the cost of each program on their public schedule. You must mention this offer when booking to secure the discount. Please note that costs associated with any of these external programs must be met by the faculty / unit requesting the service.
 
 
 
 
Management Consultancy International offers a wide range of organisational and people development solutions, providing Learning and Development training, Consultancy, Surveys and Diagnostics, and Managed Outsourced Services in both the private and public sector.
They believe their success is based upon two central pillars:

Their public schedule lists an extensive range of business performance programs, which includes leadership & management, training, emotional intelligence, diversity training, communication influencing skills etc. A number of their programs meet nationally accredited guidelines and therefore can be articulated to a certificate or Diploma qualification.

Dealing with Aggressive Customers and Robbery Safety programs
CARM is a training organisation that specialises in providing training aimed at reducing workplace violence. They aim to empower people to safely de-escalate aggression and violence in the workplace.They offer a range of programs some of which are offered to a group, and others available to individuals on-line.Two programs are available on-line, and take between 45 and 1 hour 15 minutes to complete. They are interactive sessions which feature video clips, extra reference materials and a quiz which can be completed after the training.
 
The two e-learning programs are:
 
When Customers Turn Nasty - a program designed to dealing with customer aggression andWhen Your Life is in the Balance - a robbery safety training program.
 
Cost for UNSW staff is $50 per person per unit, payable directly to CARM.

OSDS has negotiated with a number of high quality external providers which may be used on a fee-for-service basis by faculties and units at UNSW. These providers can:
  • Facilitate team planning days
  • Work with groups to mediate and resolve conflict
  • Provide one-on-one coaching
  • Work through process improvements
  • Create strategic direction for groups
