Senior Research Fellow (Environmental Modelling)

The Faculty of Science is appointing a Senior Research Fellow to plan and conduct original research relating to the project, "Explaining forest responses to rising carbon-dioxide concentrations at stand scale using a new, simple model of plant carbon economy", funded by the Australian Research Council. The appointee will be expected to apply models to forest free-air CO2 enrichment (FACE) experiments as described in the Information Package. The appointee will be expected to use data assimilation techniques and optimisation techniques. Applications are invited from both Australian and overseas candidates, with selection based on merit and experience.
This is a full-time position for 12 months with possibility of extension.
The salary range for Senior Research Fellow is A$89,362 - A$102,523 per year (plus 9% employer superannuation plus leave loading)
