Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Atmospheric Science)

As part of a Strategic Initiative in Climate Change Research, the Faculty of Science is appointing a lecturer/senior lecturer in atmospheric science. The appointee will be expected to build a research program in atmospheric science and to supervise Honours and postgraduate students with interests in this area. Whilst this is primarily a research position, the appointee will also undertake some undergraduate teaching in the area of atmospheric science. The appointee will also be expected to lead atmospheric science initiatives within the centre and across UNSW as opportunities arise. Applications are invited from both Australian and overseas candidates,
with selection based entirely on merit.
Candidates holding existing ARC/other fellowships and/or research grants as well as
those who are able to form synergistic interactions with existing UNSW research groups are encouraged to apply. Women and people from equity groups are also encouraged to apply.
The salary range for Lecturer is A$73,573 - A$86,734 per year; and Senior Lecturer is A$89,362-A$102,523 per year (plus 17% employer superannuation plus leave loading) depending on qualifications and experience.
This is a full-time continuing position.
