The Australian School of Business (ASB) is Australia's leading business school and a centre of excellence in the region. It resulted from the merger of two of Australia's most prestigious business education institutions - the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) and UNSW Faculty of Commerce and Economics. The ASB has over 230 academic staff and 8000students across undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, research and executive education programs. It is consistently ranked as the top Australian business school based on publications in top international journals, while in 2007, the Financial Times ranked the AGSM MBA program within the top 50 globally.
This autonomous role represents the most important leadership position for a senior finance academic in Australia. The Head of School reports directly to the Dean and has a mandate to build the School's academic capability to deliver on its key research and teaching priorities. We are seeking a distinguished researcher with demonstrated management skills and a desire to pursue a career in senior academic leadership. The successful individual must be capable of managing the School's human and financial resources to support its growth and development.
