Applications are invited for a position available at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level in Actuarial Studies in the Australian School of Business. The UNSW Actuarial Studies program has an active research program including quantitative risk management and financial economics. The teaching program covers the syllabus to Associate level of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, the CT subjects of the Institute of Actuaries and has VEE credit with the Society of Actuaries.
The successful applicant at Lecturer level will have a PhD in actuarial science or a related discipline and at Senior Lecturer level will also be an Associate or Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or equivalent.
The salary range for Lecturer is A$76,921 - A$90,680 per year depending on qualifications and experience (plus up to 17% employer superannuation, plus leave loading). The salary range for Senior Lecturer is A$93,428 - A$107,188 per year depending on qualifications and experience (plus up to 17% employer superannuation, plus leave loading). A salary supplement may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
