Senior Flight Instructor/Standards Manager

Salary Level 7/8: A$71K - A$89K per year (plus 17% employer superannuation plus leave loading)
 
The Department of Aviation is responsible for managing and delivering the Bachelor of Aviation program and operates a Flight Operations Unit at Bankstown Airport at which students are trained to fly and undertake associated theory classes. Appropriate standards must be met in the delivery of flight and theory instruction, and by participating students.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting and implementing standards for flight training and theory instruction, as well as standards to be met by students. In addition, the position responsibilities include flight-testing under the CASA ATO system. The Senior Flight Instructor/Standards Manager must hold and maintain aviation medical certification and CASA qualifications including an ATPL and ATO approvals. Applicants should have a Bachelor of Aviation or equivalent degree, and also have some instructional experience in a tertiary or university environment.  Appointment to Level 8 will be considered for applicants who hold ATO approvals for both Instrument Rating and Commercial Pilot License.
 
This is a full-time continuing position.
