The salary range for Lecturer is A$71,779 - A$84,618 per annum (plus 17% employer superannuation contributions plus leave loading)

The School of Mathematics is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified person to the position of Lecturer in Statistics. The successful applicant will carry out independent research in fields such as statistical science or stochastic processes, teach a wide range of statistics courses and supervise research projects in the School's undergraduate and postgraduate programs. As such, we are seeking applicants with proven research skills, a strong publication record and a commitment to teaching and developing courses of the highest standard.

The School of Mathematics and Statistics at UNSW is located in the Faculty of Science and is recognised nationally and internationally for its excellence in research and teaching. The School delivers both specialised courses to students majoring in mathematics and service courses to students from almost every faculty in the University. It is a leading Australian school on quality measures such as research publications and competitive grant funding. It has well equipped research and teaching facilities and offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs that attract outstanding students from Australia and overseas.

The position is full time and continuing.
