Academic Administration Services Consultant

Salary Level 6/7/8: A$58K - A$80K per year (plus 17% employer superannuation plus leave loading).
Student Systems and Business Solutions (SSABS) provides consultancy, business analysis and design, editorial and web publishing, and user education services that facilitate the continuing development and effective delivery of academic administration and student administration services. The unit is the operations manager of key systems that support these services, including the NewSouth Student System, the myUNSW Student Portal, the timetabling system, and content management applications for web publishing, including the Handbook.
Academic Administration Services consultants guide and support the planning and implementation of initiatives, and provide key campus-wide services that enable the University to enhance the experience of students and staff, including web information and publications such as myUNSW and the Handbook.
To excel in the role the successful applicant will bring a range of skills and experience, including:
Relevant experience, in a University or comparable setting, as a business analyst or editor or user of content management systems
Editing and business writing skills, including the ability to write and edit for the web and printed publications
Understanding of the purposes, capabilities, and functions of enterprise-level academic administration systems, including portal and content management system-based solutions, and their underlying business architecture
Proven ability to exercise initiative, to think strategically and creatively, and to adopt an active approach to problem-solving
Ability to analyse and review policy. Demonstrated experience in preparing documents, reports, and statistics that present a coherent argument, based on the analysis and synthesis of information from a range of sources
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational skills, with proven experience in working independently, managing workflow and meeting deadlines
This is a broadbanded position and appointment may be made at a lower level with performance-based advancement to senior levels.
This is a full-time position though fractional appointment may be considered.
