SENIOR FINANCE and BUSINESS ANALYST

The Faculty of the Built Environment & the Faculty of Law seek an outstanding candidate for the position of Senior Finance and Business Analyst. Reporting to the Faculty General Manager and to the Director of Finance Services,  the Senior Finance & Business Analyst will develop a deep understanding of the 'business' of each Faculty and provide advice, analysis, interpretation and maintenance of financial and non-financial data to contribute to the overall achievement of the Faculty's strategic and operational plans.
 
Working closely with the Dean, Faculty General Manager and other senior faculty staff, the successful candidate will also lead the faculty finance staff in the efficient processing of all Faculty specific accounting and related transactions and liaise closely with various UNSW central service unit managers in the provision of business management data to the Faculty.
 
With a track record of success in high level business analysis you will possess:
  • The proven ability to undertake complex data analysis across a range of business metrics.
  • The proven ability to provide authoritative advice, analysis and information on financial and non-financial data including assessment of opportunities, risks and budgetary matters.
  • The demonstrated experience in the preparation, control and management of a budget and sustainable business models.
  • The ability to translate complex financial and non-financial data into straight forward information and deliver relevant, high quality recommendations for action.
  • Effective team and relationship leadership including ability to set priorities influence and drive core outcomes in a complex and multi-faceted environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management and co-ordination of Faculty internal and external reporting requirements ensuring reports are accurate and timely.
  • The Influencing and relationship skills to develop productive relationships and engender a spirit of collaboration
