Recruitment Toolkit

From 2 April 2007 responsibility for media placement of recruitment advertisements will be undertaken by advertising staff within Marketing Services and submission will be coordinated at a Faculty/Divisional level by the relevant HR Consultant.

HR website advertisements ("WebAds") on Jobs@UNSW will continue to be placed by HR via the HR Consultant. Managers will continue to be responsible for finalising all advertising content (in advance of submission to Marketing Services), in consultation with their HR Consultant.

Workforce planning and preparing to recruit is as important as recruiting the best possible candidate.

You are recruiting the best employees for your department’s needs. You want talented employees who fit your culture. Your recruitment strategies are critical in attracting these people.

This Recruitment "Toolkit" has been designed as a "best practice" guide in recruiting and selecting staff at UNSW.

The Toolkit outlines step-by-step, the processes at each stage of the recruitment and selection process with adherence to merit-based principles and legislation.

The Toolkit is aimed at providing managers and supervisors with a set of clearly-defined standards in order to instil confidence when recruiting and selecting staff.

experience can be assessed so you can sit on UNSW Selection Committees.
