UniGym Staff may salary sacrifice membership fees and programs to the Unigym. The following options are available for UNSW staff:
Note: this option is only available to UNSW employees and not to family members. The Unigym offers a range of health & fitness programs - further information may be found at: http://www.lifestylecentre.unsw.edu.au/. Renewals to membership may also be packaged from the renewal date. Membership fees are deducted from the staff member's pre-tax fortnightly salary and will then be paid to the Unigym. You may nominate to have the cost of your Unigym membership deducted over a shorter period of time eg. a 12 month membership may be salary sacrificed over 6 months. To include Unigym membership fees as a salary package item, you will need to complete a Unigym Application Form including the section on "Salary Sacrifice". This will then be processed in your next available fortnightly pay. Note: Salary sacrifice deductions will cease once a staff member takes "leave without pay" or resigns from the University. In such cases, the staff member will need to make separate arrangements either to make payments or to pay the balance of their membership directly to the Unigym. Please note that weights, fitness, pool, holiday camp and 1 to 1 programs will each be shown as separate deductions on your payslip. Further information and application forms are available from the Unigym or Human Resources Reception. There is no administrative charge for salary packaging Unigym membership fees.
