What is the workshop about?

This half-day workshop has been designed to provide the necessary knowledge and skill enhancement to facilitate the successful implementation of the Performance Development Scheme (PDS) at UNSW.

  • UNSW Australia's Performance Development Scheme (PDS) process and conversation cycle
  • Access to key documents and resources
  • Communicating and setting up the process and conversations to engage all  parties in the PDS process
  • Importance of identifying and writing realistic individual key priorities/goals that are aligned to UNSW Australia, Faculty, and local level key strategies.
Participants will also be referred to a number of additional resources to support their learning needs around performance development, including;
  • UNSW PDS guideline documents
  • on line modules
  • HR Client Services
  • People & Culture Developing Unit workshops

Key Learning Outcomes

  • Greater awareness of both the importance of initiating and conducting an effective PDS conversation
  • Identify key resources and access to documents that support the PDS process
  • Apply skills and strategies to engage and support the team with PDS
  • Apply a framework for setting Key Performance Targets with your staff
