Mentoring has long been a tradition at universities, particularly in relation to academic mentoring, which has often been conducted in an informal manner.
At UNSW we recognise the importance and benefits of mentoring as an effective and professional and personal development tool for all staff. This website aims to provide guidance and support to staff in the design and implementation of both formal and informal mentoring programs.
The Aims of the Mentoring for Staff Toolkit are to:
  • assist in the development of mentoring at UNSW
  • support the implementation of the Performance Development Scheme
  • assist with career development for University staff
