UNSW - YMCA Fitness & Aquatic Centre
UNSW is pleased to introduce YMCA NSW which commenced management of the UNSW Fitness and Aquatic Centre from 8th January 2013. UNSW and YMCA are committed to enhancing the experience of members throughout the Sport and Recreation facilities.
Full and Part Time UNSW Staff may salary sacrifice membership fees and programs to the gym.
UNSW may only offer salary packaging where the membership fees are for the employee only and not for the employee's children. It is also at the University's discretion as to what options they offer:
The following options are currently available:
- Fitness and Aquatic Centre - Three or Twelve Month Memberships available.
- Personal Training - half hour 1 to 1 training or full hour 1 to 1 training.

Membership fees are deducted from the staff member's pre-tax fortnightly salary and will then be paid to the UNSW Fitness and Aquatic Centre - YMCA.
To include UNSW Fitness and Aquatic Centre - YMCA membership fees as a salary package item, you will need to complete an Application Form including the section on "Salary Sacrifice". This will then be processed in your next available fortnightly pay.
Note: If a staff member takes "leave without pay" from the University the employee will need to make arrangements with UNSW Fitness and Aquatic Centre - YMCA directly to pay their membership.
On resignation from the University any membership contributions outstanding will be deducted from the employee's final salary.

There is no administrative charge for salary packaging UNSW fitness and Aquatic Centre - YMCA membership fees.
